The painting of this house dining room was done using SICO brand paint in an eggshell finish. Eggshell finish seems to be most popular, being somewhere in the middle of the sheen scale, not as shiny as semi gloss and not as flat as flat paint, it offers a pretty good washability. Flat paints are beautiful because they consume the light, causing velvety feel. Some of the disadvantages are that most of flat paints get dirty fairly easy. The shinier the paint the more it reflects the light which may be undesirable to some but it's very durable and washable. Eggshell finish is somewhere in the middle of all this.
